Standard Approval Package
The written form of your 1-3-1 — what you bring to NOVA (or send an approver/owner) so a decision can be made quickly and consistently.
Required contents (the 1-3-1)
- The Problem — root cause (the first "1") — one-sentence statement of the root cause, not the symptom, plus the property/unit.
- Investigation findings — what you checked (GL, past WOs, email, lease, purchase/warranty, market) and what you found.
- Three options (the "3") — each realistic option with cost, timeline, risk, and pros/cons. One may be "do nothing / wait & monitor."
- Recommendation (the final "1") — your recommended option and why.
- Supporting documents — quotes/bids, GL excerpts, comps, lease clauses, photos.
- Urgency — emergency / same-day / scheduled / routine, and any deadline.
- Anticipated questions — the approver's likely questions, answered in advance.

AI can draft this — you own it
It's fine to have AI assemble a first draft from the notes you gathered. You must read it, verify every figure and claim, and be able to defend it. See Using AI Responsibly.
